For continuing beginning students. Provides the foundation for the study of Iyengar Yoga.
Gary Reitze began practicing Iyengar Yoga in 1986 to rehabilitate from a number of injuries including five shoulder surgeries. Soon he became fascinated with and dedicated to the spiritual path of Yoga and wanted to share his passion with others. He began teaching in 1990 and has taught regularly since. Gary has studied with BKS Iyengar in India on three occasions, and continues his study with senior teachers. He has taken over 600 hours of teacher training, is a master teacher with over 10,000 hours of teaching experience, possesses extensive knowledge of therapeutics, and is an intermediate certified teacher.
Gary’s style of teaching is precise and detailed, incorporating a passion for the physical postures and helping his students reduce pain so they can engage in the activities they love. He is devoted to the spiritual path of yoga and also studies Ayurveda, the ancient system of medicine from India. Gary has a love of nature, climbs peaks in the summer and skis in the winter.

Intermediate poses introduced to complement the firm foundation created through the understanding of the basic poses. Minimum 2 years of Iyengar yoga practice recommended.
|10:15am - 11:45am||Level 2
Consolidation of the basic poses with increased study of the beginning inversions.
Donita Reitze began practicing Iyengar Yoga in 1986 because of arthritis in her thoracic spine. With continued practice her spine became more mobile, and she has grown 1 inches due to good posture. She began teaching in 1992 and is an intermediate level certified Iyengar Yoga teacher. She teaches with enthusiasm, joy and the passion to help others get as much out of Yoga as they can, so the students can take responsibility for taking care of themselves. Donita continues to study with senior teachers in this country as well as the Iyengars in India. She also has a love of the mountains and enjoys skiing and hiking.
